Registration for Transfer Orientation is now closed. You can still attend and register on-site at Kupfrian Hall at 8:30 am on Wednesday. Parking is free at the Summit Street parking deck. NJIT Transfer Orientation: January 11, 2017

Welcome new NJIT Highlanders! Transfer Orientation will give you the opportunity to understand more about the resources available to you at NJIT, meet other students, take a tour, learn about campus life, and take care of your picture ID and parking pass. Note that this program will provide a basic morning session that includes advising and registration. There is an optional second part of the program that interested students may attend in the afternoon that includes lunch.

Schedule:

  • 9 am - 12:30 pm Basic Orientation: this program will include a continental breakfast, a welcome session, academic advisement presentation, registration assistance, a student panel, a student success workshop, and a tour. Students may get their ID's at any point before noon or after 1 pm if they have registered for at least one course.
  • 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm Extended Orientation: this program will provide lunch with a peer leader, and optional presentations from Financial Aid/Bursar, Public Safety, Student Involvement, Career Development, Militatry Veteran support, Residence Life, and Commuter Support. Students will be able to get their ID photo during the day (except noon - 1 pm) or after the program ends if they have registered for at least one course.

What are my transport/parking options?

  • Please park at the Parking Deck on Summit Street (enter at Colden and Warren Streets). No parking pass will be needed.

Where do I check in?

  • Please check in at the Kufrian Hall lobby upper floor.

  • You are welcome to take care of your needs on your own time. Please see our website for complete information for transfer students or contact the Center for Student Success for more support on transferring.

Can I bring a family member or guest?

  • The program is designed for students and is not meant to accomodate parents or guests, however they are welcome to join you at a cost.
